The
Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan is opening to the world
after centuries of self-imposed isolation. It first
opened to tourists in 1974 in very regulated manner
upon the coronation of present Bhutanese King. This
mountain kingdom is still perhaps the world's most
exclusive destination.

Due to the Royal Government's far-sighted policy to
preserve the country's pristine environment and its
culture, the harmful effects to industrialization
and mass tourism on the environment and the
traditional lifestyle of Bhutanese have been
carefully avoided. This makes Bhutan truly unique
destination. A country with majestic mountains, a
unique cultural heritage preserved for many
centuries, a landfill of warm hearted and friendly
people, reveals a true paradise.
Tourism Industry in this country continues to grow
modestly and the number of visitors from other
countries has increased drastically. The majestic
beauty and rich culture that has matured without
outside intervention over many centuries has lured
visitors from all parts of the world. Thus our
company felt that it is necessary to publish this
booklet containing programs (Tours - Treks
Mountaineering, mountain bike and River Rafting) to
facilitate our visitors to be equipped and prepared
for the days ahead. We hope that this little book
will go a small way towards meeting that need.

To acquaint with the seasons, March, April, October
and September are the peak seasons - Bhutan is
filled with festivals during these months. May,
July, August and November are moderate. The low
season falls on December, January, February, being
winter months and June being mid summer month.
However, if we are to give suggestions for those who
are keen to see the mountains and sceneries,
November and December months provide spectacular
views.
